SJRA increasing rates again in September .

San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) will raise the fee this September on the water we all use . As per SJRA the reason for the increase is to cover the cost of lawsuits they are involved in, as well as the declining need for ground water out of Chicot, Evangeline, and Jasper aquifers which has caused the SJRA's revenue to decline. Not only will the SJRA be raising their fees but the LSGCD (Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District) will also be increasing their fees as of January 1, 2018.
